Meet Deb..

It's the principle, Principal!!!

So let me begin by telling you that I work in a Primary School Office where I spend an awful lot of time teaching young children the importance of behaving well, doing well and acting appropriately - an awful lot of time!!!

After one such discussion with a particularly challenging child last week I sat back thinking, job well done. For a moment anyway.

The phone rang. It was my son's school on the line - the Principal no less - ringing to inform/patronise a little even, due to my little angel misbehaving and shining a torch into the face of another child.

My quip that maybe he was trying to enlighten the other child fell on resoundingly deaf ears and was met with a stern,

"It's the principle of the situation, Mrs. Keniston (Murphy)!"

I swear there was a tut-tut-too but I was too busy being equally put in my place and fighting the urge to giggle.

The moral of said story is that you are truly never ever too old to be told off and put firmly in your place, even when you spend most of your day doing the very same.
