Pumpkin Patch Trio

Cleo slithered through cornstalks

Her coat as black as night

Huge orange Hercules grinned

His toothless mouth open 

Strangers would be coming

Witches goblins ghosts

Superman Supergirl Flash

Dracula our nightmarish host

Casper playing the organ

With such an eerie flair

Candles light the pathway

Shadows dance in the air

Cleo and Hercules made a pact

Not to be too scared this year

Some costumes are awful scary

Snowball barked,  "but not real".

Strangers held their flashlights

Search the Halloween maze

Trying to reach the other side

Darting to and fro in haste

Cleo Meowed out loud

Stared with glassy green eyes

Hercules dragged his vines

Weaving thru the pines

Snowball howled at the moon

Strangers froze in their place

Giggles and laughter silent

But a candy prize awaits

Cleo Hercules and Snowball

Knew the best kept secret

How to get through the maze

Racing up front quite a ways

Hercules wrapped his vine

Tight around the candy box

The cover popped up high

Dracula looked very shocked

Cleo used her long claws

Snowball his canine teeth

Catching cherry red lollipops

Sharing with pumpkin Hercules

Strangers shouted "over there"

Feet pounding down the path

Carrying their candy sacks

The pumpkin patch trio laughed!
