Simple Words of Kindness

Today I helped at my son’s school. As I did some paperwork to help my son’s English teacher with i-ready reading scores, a student came out from history class and sat near where I was doing some school work.

She had lovely long hair that was dyed pink half way down her back. She was crying. I believe she found history hard.

Her teacher came out and said it would be okay and not to cry. He was trying to be nice, but the level of school work these days is most challenging. I felt sorry for her.

I told her that her hair is so pretty and I believe she heard me. If that one idea can help her feel better about herself, then my day has been a success.
