This weekend we had a family wedding on Long Island and decided that we needed to head to Massapequa Preserve before we went home. I’m so glad we did. I credit this park for instilling my deep abiding love of nature and the natural world. It was a oasis for me in a sea of suburbia. I spent my entire childhood exploring this park. What a gift.
